Honoring the Hill Country. Helping Rebuild its Legacy.

The devastating Guadalupe River flood of July 4, 2025, left an indelible mark on the heart of the Texas Hill Country. The Heartwood Revival was founded to honor the memory of the 137 lives lost and to stand in solidarity with a community that lost family, friends, homes, and businesses in the tragedy.
The floodwaters also claimed the majestic, centuries-old cypress trees that were the lifeblood of the region. Seeing this profound loss—of life, of livelihood, and of these natural treasures—was the inspiration for this project.

The Heartwood Revival is a dedicated mission to support the Hill Country community in its journey of remembrance and healing. It is not an effort to forget, but a way to help build a lasting legacy from what was lost. By recovering the wood from the fallen cypress giants, we will facilitate the creation of timeless tributes that honor the enduring spirit of the region.
The first step in this revival is economic. To help bring vital tourism back to the area, our initial focus is to partner with the resilient local businesses that line the Guadalupe River basin. We are developing a "Revival Trail" to support and promote the shops, Airbnb's churches and camps in Comfort, Kerrville, Ingram and Hunt.
This mission is just beginning. To follow our progress and learn how we are partnering with the community, please join us on the official Facebook page.
